Wow, I wasn’t going to do World Breastfeeding Week this year. What with Jon’s accident and the change in schedules and everything being so crazy…..But then, I got something in the mail about it and I was inspired. Now, I have thrown myself headlong into planning it and it is truly revitalizing. In doing so, I realized that we have 2 new DONA Doulas who have(or are just going) to be moving here! That is exciting. It is also so much fun to talk to other people who love the things I do. The doulas were fun to talk to as well as the lady that is going to be doing the baby massage. So, our walk is going to be neat. We are going to have a double blow up thing that will be gigantic for the kiddos, face painting, a baby massage demonstration/class, and a silent auction. I have already managed to get 2 slings, some nursing pads, and a pump donated for our silent auction. I guess if there isn’t the turn out that I had hoped for, at least I got to network and meet some people who are interested in the things that I am in right? I can still have an enrichment meeting for LLL and have the lady do another class on infant massage……I could also do an enrichment meeting and have the doulas talk! Anyway, I guess having something to work on other than the house is a nice change of pace:)
We are also going to the lake tomorrow. That will be fun. Hopefully the girls like the lake as much as I do! We will see if I can still ski:)
